Orthodontic treatment has gone wireless! Invisalign® treatment is a highly esthetic “invisible”, removable alternative to conventional orthodontic treatment with brackets and wires. The best news is that you can obtain the look you desire without wires, restrictions in your diet, or a more challenging tooth cleaning regimen. Invisalign is a patient-friendly treatment option that is recommended by Drs. Graber, Gyllenhaal, and Stache to treat a variety of orthodontic problems at different stages of dental development.
Graber & Gyllenhaal Orthodontics is a VIP, Diamond+, top 1% Provider of Invisalign. This means that Graber & Gyllenhaal Orthodontics currently uses Invisalign treatment for many patients and has treated patients with aligners for over 20 years. Even patients with complex dental alignment or bite issues, surgical patients, and/or those needing just a “tune up” to their smile can be candidates for clear aligner therapy. Additionally, we are happy to offer iTero Digital Scanning so in making your aligners, you’ll never need messy impressions. Instead of the “goop,” this scanner takes a 3D video image of the teeth – much more comfortable and more precise as well!
The doctor analyzes your teeth digitally and plots movements to be executed in the Invisalign trays. At Graber & Gyllenhaal Orthodontics, we are able to integrate a three dimensional photographic scan of your teeth with three dimensional radiographic imaging of the bone surrounding your teeth. This allows us to plan on tooth movement that not only improves your smile, but can position tooth roots in a healthier position for your gums. Instead of bending wires to move teeth, the doctor programs for the aligner material to change. Each clear tray shifts your teeth along the plan, moving them horizontally, vertically, and even rotating them. Invisalign is prescribed by the doctor and then custom engineered to use the right amount of pressure in the right place at the right time to successfully align your teeth with minimal discomfort. If discomfort is worrisome to you, ask us about Acceledent® or Propel V-Pro 5® micropulsers as an adjunct to further minimize the feeling of tooth movement.
During your Invisalign treatment, you will regularly change to the next set of aligners—usually every week or two. Each set of aligners is designed to move your teeth closer towards your final smile, following the custom treatment plan mapped out by Drs. Graber, Gyllenhaal, and Stache. You will visit the office every four to ten weeks to check progress and make sure everything is on track.

Since the aligners are clear trays, they are barely visible. Most people won’t notice you are wearing Invisalign! There are no brackets or wires and Invisalign is fully removable, so there aren’t the same food restrictions you experience with braces. Plus, you can brush and floss your teeth normally! The removable nature of Invisalign means that patient compliance is particularly important and it is up to you to make sure you wear your aligners as recommended.
No sports emergencies from broken brackets, nothing shows during a performance, and no interruption in playing instruments are only a few of the reasons teens prefer treatment with clear aligners to conventional braces. At Graber & Gyllenhaal Orthodontics we also offer the “Teen Guarantee” – ask us today about teen treatment with Invisalign.
